My family and I were in Madrid for a week, and wanted to get away a little. This Madrid to Segovia day trip was perfect. It’s a full-day activity, and you really get to see a lot. Segovia was beautiful! It’s a cute, smaller, more relaxed city than Madrid, with really gorgeous old buildings. We also chose to go inside the cathedral after our guide spoke so highly of it, and I really recommend it. Gorgeous gothic architecture. The skip-the-line tickets came in handy there - the normal line was super long!
I absolutely loved this Segovia tour from Madrid. We were debating between Segovia and Toledo, and I’m glad we picked Segovia. Our guide Michelle was amazing. Very friendly woman and with such a wealth of knowledge. She knew the answer to literally every question we asked her. Organization was also great! The bus left bang-on time, and was very comfortable and spacious. Segovia was of course gorgeous. Seeing Alcázar was my personal highlight - the castle is just magnificent!

SEE SEGOVIA’S FAMOUS LANDMARKS
It’d be a shame to visit the city of Segovia without seeing its Roman Aqueduct. After all, it’s a symbol of the city and one of the best-preserved Roman aqueducts. The Roman Aqueduct supplied the city's fountains, public baths, and houses until 1973. Try to count all its arches - there are 167! Your next stop is the Alcázar of Segovia, a sprawling fortress from the 12th century. This huge castle has been home to 22 kings and is known for its impressive architecture. You’ll see its moat, thick walls, and several soaring towers. Your guide will point out the most famous: the Homage Tower and the Tower of John II.
DISCOVER THE QUAINT ÁVILA

They’re Spain’s most complete and best-preserved medieval fortifications! They’re huge: 3 meters wide and 12 meters high, with nine gates providing passage through the stone.
