DESCRIPTION
Reina Sofia Tickets
The renowned Reina Sofía Museum stands as a modern art treasure in Madrid. Its remarkable collection of 20th-century Spanish art, from Picasso to Solana, captivates visitors. Since transforming into a museum in 1992, the venue showcases Madrid's premier contemporary art assortment.
With Reina Sofia Tickets, prepare to be awed by works from Spanish art titans like Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró. Though a few pieces from non-Spanish artists, like Francis Bacon's Lying Figure, are on display, the focus remains predominantly on Spain.
Alongside an impressive array of paintings, the museum boasts captivating sculptures, including colorful works by Miró and a striking bust of Picasso by Pablo Gargallo. The pinnacle of the Reina Sofía is undoubtedly Picasso's Guernica, held in Room 205 on the 2nd floor. The museum arranges exhibits thematically, which might lead you to traverse a fair amount of ground to witness all of the must-see masterpieces.
Because of its great popularity, the museum expanded with a new building opened in 2005. So today, the museum has two main venues, the Sabatini building, which has four floors, and the Nouvel building, which has three floors. No wonder this museum is considered one of Spain's most culturally significant landmarks.

Amazing Collection!
Make sure you give yourself enough time to appreciate this place fully and spend at least 2 hours exploring! They have free coat check, and an audio guide is available, which I found only somewhat valuable mostly because I am not an art student and didn't appreciate or understand the significance of art evolution. Between Museo del Prado and Reina Sofia, I am still deciding which one is better so I recommend visiting both of them!
A Must see!
This museum is an absolute gem and has a really thoughtful design and layout. The central garden is such a peaceful oasis for relaxation. The artworks are amazing and tell a compelling historical story. As an art lover, I couldn't wait to see Pablo Picasso's Guernica. It is truly breathtaking, but there are many other powerful pieces too. A wonderful experience overall!
