Good value for money!

I had a great time at the Reina Sofia! There was so much to see, and it was great to spend a couple of hours exploring the art galleries. You'll stumble upon it eventually, but don't miss Picasso's Guernica! The price is really fair considering you get to see Picasso and Dali's paintings and so many others. I definitely recommend a visit!

A Must see!

I love the museum and the paintings, and sculptures they have! Of course, Guernica is there and it is not to be missed, but I also liked photos from the 70s and 80s. The abstract sculptures were interesting, too. It was nice to walk around on my own, and there was so much to see, so I wasn't bored at all!!!

SEE PICASSO'S FAMOUS "GUERNICA" & OTHER WORKS

Your Reina Sofía Tickets give you full-day access to view more than 21,000 works! The Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía exhibits works from the 20th century, including Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and René Magritte. The Reina Sofía features many artworks by Picasso, one of Spain's greatest artists. One of his most famous works at the Reina Sofía Museum is "Guernica". Painted in 1937, "Guernica" is a mural named after a Basque town. Picasso heard about the German bombing of the town, which inspired the work. He painted a dead soldier, a screaming mother, and a person panicking. It also incorporates a bull, a wounded horse, and a bird. The painting has inspired different interpretations. Regardless of the interpretation, the desperation and destruction caused by war are palpable.

DISCOVER SALVADOR DALÍ'S UNIQUE ART

Continue your journey with canvases created by another one of Spain's greatest artists, Salvador Dalí. He is the most famous Surrealist artist, best known for "The Persistence of Memory", which depicts melting clocks. You can see a collection of his works at the Reina Sofía, including "Portrait of Luis Buñuel". Dalí painted a portrait of the Spanish director, with whom he made two Surrealistic movies. Surrealism was a reaction to the destructive effects of rationalism in Europe, which culminated in World War I.
