My family spent a week in this beautiful city. We booked the Madrid Private Tour to get a sense of the place and see it from the vantage point of a local. Our guide was Gabriela, a smart and very knowledgeable young lady. We told her we wanted to see the Royal Palace and then the Reina Sofia Museum. Later, when we got hungry, we wanted her to take us to the best tapas bar she knew of. She took us to Taberna Malaspina on Calle Cadiz. The food was delicious, and we were the only tourists there. After lunch she took us to the nearby Plaza de Santa Ana and even offered us a visit to Teatro Español. We didn't have to pay to get inside, as her close friend works there. What can I say? We enjoyed the perks of a customizable tour. Thank you, Gabriela!
Miguel is a wonderful guide, and my family and I really enjoyed his company. He's super friendly, and he proudly showed us his city of birth. We saw Prado and Reina Sofia museums, Madrid's cathedral, and even one Egyptian temple! After all the major landmarks, he also showed us hidden gems only known to locals like him. Like the statue of the Fallen Angel inside El Retiro, which is placed at exactly 666 meters above sea level. This guy knows Madrid inside out, and he's fun to be around. Miguel also warned us about tourist traps and gave us plenty of tips and advice on what to see. This tour with a private guide is on another level, and I highly recommend booking it.

PUERTA DEL SOL - THE LITERAL CENTER OF MADRID
Starting from the Puerta del Sol, this sprawling city extends for miles in each direction. One of the landmarks your private guide can take you to see is the Kilometer Zero plaque. Did you know that Spain's six main radial highways are numbered from this point? Some of the major streets and avenues you can visit include Calle Mayor, Gran Vía, and Paseo del Prado.
HIDDEN GEMS UNKNOWN TO TOURISTS
There are many hidden gems in central Madrid only known to locals. These include unique shops, architectural details, and intriguing places with a rich history. Use this opportunity and visit El Jardín del Príncipe de Anglona, Matadero Madrid, or Mercado de la Cebada. These places are known to locals, but tourists often miss them.
VISIT THE ROYALS
During this tour in Madrid, you might want to visit the Royal Palace of Madrid. Did you know this is the largest royal palace in Europe? Let your guide tell you all about its architecture and history. If you want to peek inside and get a glimpse into the life of royals, just tell our team, and they'll book the tickets for you.
EXPLORE MADRID'S ICONIC MUSEUMS
Our guides are well-versed in art history, and they can take you to see Madrid's iconic museums. Two of the most famous are the Reina Sofía Museum and the Prado Museum. Both feature outstanding collections of artwork and globally renowned masterpieces. Reina Sofía Museum is where you'll find Picasso and Salvador Dalí. The Prado focuses more on historic paintings by Rubens, El Greco, Bosch, Velázquez, and Goya.
PARKS AND GREEN SPACES
If you've chosen a longer tour of Madrid, you'll definitely want to take a break in one of the parks. One such example is El Retiro, considered by the locals to be the most beautiful in Madrid. There are many pavilions, ponds, and lush greenery perfect for a relaxing break.
SEE CATHEDRALS, CHURCHES, AND… AN EGYPTIAN TEMPLE?
Among Madrid's many churches, Catedral de la Almudena and Basílica de San Miguel stand out. Their richly decorated facades and ornamented interiors are well worth the visit. The center of Madrid also features the peculiar Temple of Debod. It is an original ancient Egyptian temple gifted to the people of Spain by the Egyptian government.
